My return
Alas, I have returned. My hiatus from this blog was simply due to boredom. No one was/is reading it so I kind of became lax about it. Now I am back because of the same reason. Boredom! Funny how the world works, no?
Remember when I blogged about wanting to see Watchmen? Well, I saw it. It met my expectations and so much more. It was probably the best they could have done to translate from the graphic novel to a film. I still think that the actual ending was better, but I don't have any major problems with the way they ended it. I think the same message was delivered effectively. I LOVED the way the movie looked, they NAILED that aspect of it. It was an almost perfect translation from comic art to the big screen. I was quite pleased.
I also saw Monsters vs. Aliens. It was no Kung Fu Panda, but was very good in it's own right. And, oh yeah, it was 3D! BADASSERY!
I also started watching Heroes. It's awesome, much more mature of a show than I was expecting. And a whole lot deeper too. Btw, Hiro Nakamura is my HERO.
So now I will peace and leave you to your life.

I found a new addiction
Ha, I bet you thought I forgot about you guys huh? You wish.
In my absence, I was recently introduced to a new drug that I can become addicted to and add to my growing list. This new drug is Scrubs.
While Kyle was in town, we had what you might call a Scrubs marathon. Alas, it only took about 5 episodes for me to lose my mind once again to another waste of my life.
BUT SCRUBS IS SO GOOD I JUST DON'T CARE!!!!
So between that and Fallout 3, which is also awesome and time consuming, I quit Warcraft (again). So in the end, this is a good thing. (I hope).
So, I hope you enjoyed my triumphant return to this blog with a nice little rant about my life that a grand total of one person(myself) cares about.
I'm happy about it. Now I just have to eagerly wait for my season of Scrubs to get here that I got off ebay. GOOD TIMES!

The addict has succumbed
Today, I failed.
Today, my will finally shattered.
Today, I lost my battle against my addiction.
Today, I renewed my Warcraft subscription.
That's right, I stayed clean for about a month. Just plain and simple canceled my subscription and deleted World of Warcraft from my computer about a month ago for fear of losing my life to this damn game. But alas, today I gave in and renewed it.
The new expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, is what finally put me over. I was watching the cutscenes and I got all excited and school is out and it all came crashing down.
I guess it's still better than heroin...
Anyway, my characters are...
Vishe- Lvl. 51 NE Warrior (Fury)
Volvagia- Lvl. 18 HU Mage (Flame)
KurtZisa- Lvl. 10 GN Warlock
I also have a horde Tauren druid but hes a piece of shit and I don't like him.
So hit me up if your also part of the global sensation that is World of Warcraft.
LOOK ON MY WORKS YE MIGHTY AND DESPAIR! I AM VISHE KING OF KINGS! AND I HAVE RETURNED!!!!!
Here's that great Leeroy Jenkins video we all know and love...

Joe Satriani vs. Coldplay
0 followers eh? No emails either, and not a comment in sight...
I can't help but feel as if these posts are naught but floating around without motivation or purpose through cyberspace.
Oh well, woe is me.
Anyways, it seems that guitarist Joe Satriani is suing Coldplay for alleged plagiarism of his song If I Could Fly. The song in question is Viva La Vida off off Colplay's most recent album Viva La Vida or Death and All of His Friends. Now, I am both a Coldplay and Satriani fan and think they are both credible music sources. This is an interesting conroversy because I think Coldplay has put too much great original music out there for them to need to go out and steal someone else's work. I think that this may be just a coincedence, but I do see where Joe could get a little hot and bothered.
Rather than taking my word for it, you can have a listen yourself. Go ahead and watch this youtube video...
So, there you have it. Plagiarism or not? I'll let you decide that for yourselves.
One thought that crossed my mind though was this:
Coldplay didn't directly copy anything from Satriani's song, they only share the melody in common. Joe's song has a guitar solo using it, and in the Coldplay song, it is Chris Martin's vocals. So does this mean that Joe Satriani owns and will forever own that particular combination of pitches? Is that particular combination of notes now off limits to the world of creative music for all time?
Where do you draw the line?
Where does it stop being a direct cut and paste job of plagiarism to "You used F flat in your song! I used it in my song first! I'm suing your ass!"
I think this whole thing is very sketchy, and I think it is somewhat asinine of Joe Satriani to say that he has forever and ever ultimate mastery of a riff.
But that aside, I really hope Coldplay doesn't get tangled up with this. The music world is in enough of a shithole as it is without the artists themselves at each others throats.
